Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome back to the 2025-2026 school year at P.S. 96 - The Richard Rodgers School of the Arts! We are so excited to welcome our scholars back for another amazing year of learning! As we begin a new school year, our goals have remained the same. We are committed to ensuring an excellent education for all students by providing rigorous lessons and instruction that will bring out the greatness that dwells within all of them. At P.S. 96, we dedicate ourselves to providing a safe, nurturing environment where all students are challenged academically as well as personally motivated by our core values, which are: Have respect, Own your choices, We are safe, and Lead with kindness.
In order to ensure our scholars get the most out of each educational day, please remember that our school day begins promptly at 8:30 am everyday! Please be at your child’s designated arrival site by 8:25 am. All classes will enter the building at 8:35 am, to begin a day of learning and fun. If you arrive after that time, enter through the main entrance. Student dismissal is promptly at 2:50 pm. Please be on time to pick up your child, thank you!!
Each year we strive to strengthen our home-school partnership and encourage all of you to set a goal to become more engaged within our school community. Your support and commitment to your children’s learning and our school makes a difference in your child’s education. We cannot do this important work without you!
In order to stay up to date on all the exciting events happening at P.S. 96, please follow us on Twitter and Instagram! Remember, Dojo is our main platform for communicating with our families, so please download the app if you have not already done so.
Thank you for your continued support as we work diligently to make your child's education our priority. We are all looking forward to an exciting year of learning, growth, and wonderful memories at PS 96!
Sincerely,
Joan T. Vetere, Ed.D.
